First edition. Some spotting to the spine and rear board, thus a good copy without dustwrapper. Inscribed by Hurston to Arna Bontemps, using most of the front fly: "To Arna Bontemps, Who plays high trombone in God's best band. With admiration, Zora Neale Hurston." Hurston's study of Moses from an African-American folklore standpoint -- as the great "Voodoo Man" of the Bible. A wonderful association.
