Near fine, without dustwrappers, in a very good example of the publisher's black papercovered box with gilt label on the lid, with bumps at the corners some old tape repair. Includes, presumably as issued, a near fine copy of the booklet The Lincoln of Carl Sandburg, one of 2500 copies, with articles by Charles A. Beard, Robert E. Sherwood, Lloyd Lewis, Henry Steele Commager, Max Lerner, and Henry Bertram Hill. The War Years was awarded the Pulitzer Prize. [BTC #298314] |
