First edition. A small bookplate on the front pastedown and a neat owner's name on the front fly, else a tight, fine copy, without the dustwrapper. Basis for the 1938 film with Charles Bickford and Ann Dvorak, though not the basis for the 2002 film of the same name. Seldom found in this condition.
