First edition. Oblong folio. A little sunning to the boards, near fine in very good or better dustwrapper with two very short tears, and a couple of tiny dents on the front panel. A nice copy of the author's scarce second book, winner of the Caldecott Medal. Basis for the Joe Johnston film with Robin Williams, Bonnie Hunt, and Kirsten Dunst.
