First edition. A faint spot on the front board, some rubbing, a very good or better copy in a fine (probably supplied, but not by us) dustwrapper. Cowhide bookplate of cowboy film star Tom Mix on the front pastedown with the kindly sentiment: "The Good Book says, God helps those that help themselves, but I say God help the man that strays off the ranch with this book," and stamped with his signature and T.M. brand. Signed by the author: "With best wishes, Edgar Rice Burroughs."
