Manuscript: Nigger Learns About Christmas
Quarto. Ribbon tide hand decorate card covers. (28)pp., handwritten, illustrated with vignettes and one full page drawing. Moderate wear at the extremities, some smudging to the covers, very good or better. The story of a black cat (the "Nigger" of the title), apparently written and reasonably well-illustrated by an older adolescent. The racism of the story seems confined to the use of the offending word as the name of the otherwise sympathetic cat. We have no information as to the authorship or even regional location of the story. A curiousity.
