The Bridge in the Jungle First American edition. Endpapers a little darkened, a little darkening to the outer gutters and a small stain on the rear board else near fine in very good, price-clipped dustwrapper with a few small nicks and tears and a bit of rubbing along the edges. Enigmatic author's third book published in the U.S. Basis for the 1971 film starring John Huston as Howard, the same character for which his father won an Oscar for The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, and written and directed by Pancho Kohner, son of Paul Kohner (Huston's agent) and the Mexican actress Lupita Tovar (allegedly a friend of the reclusive Traven). Considered by some Traven's best book. [BTC #22126] |
