What methods of payment to you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal (payment to the account firstname.lastname@example.org). If you prefer to pay by check (drawn from a United States bank and in U.S. dollars) just let us know in the comments box during the checkout process. We also accept wire transfers for larger purchases. We regret we no longer accept poultry left on the front porch, living or dead, nor attractive assemblages of wild flowers, even when presented with a smile. Customers known to us (i.e. you have ordered before) may be invoiced, as will libraries upon request. Payment schedules may be arranged on request.
How do I find and use coupon codes?
We include coupon codes in selected book orders and some of our advertising. Coupon codes may only be used for purchases made through this website, and may only be used at the time you place your order (we're not sure when else you might want to use them - at the supermarket? - but just want to cover all the bases).
Do you sell gift certificates?
Why yes we do, and thank you for asking. We sell "BTC Bucks" in the following amounts: $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000, and $5000, which are redeemable for any appropriately priced item or items in our inventory. Each denomination bears a caricature of a famous author by the inimitable Tom Bloom (actually he's probably imitable, but we couldn't do it). Our gift certificates do not have expiration dates. If you want to purchase a gift certificate, click here. We do not currently have a $1,000,000 gift certificate, but if you want to purchase one, we have crayons and paper at the ready, and we'll get right on it. You can even choose the author!
How do I redeem a gift certificate?
Unfortunately at present our site does not have the ability to redeem gift certificates automatically. But please don't let that faze you - simply let us know in the comments box while you're ordering that you have a gift certificate to redeem and we'll take care of it.
Do you take books in trade?
As noted in our section on Selling Your Books, in general if we are interested in an item we would prefer to buy it outright than trade. We often allow our regular customers to upgrade books in their existing collections - contact Tom for details.
