Modern Library 100 Best Novels

A much-publicized "100 Best" list, selected by the Modern Library's Board of Editors (which is comprised of several distinguished authors), and ostensibly released to "get people talking about great books." It also might help sell a few Modern Library editions, but that's probably a coincidence. As with many such lists, the inclusion of trilogies and series puts the actual number of titles well over 100.
