Joannes Leo Africanus

<< 1556 >>

In 1989 Charles L. Blockson, a pioneering scholar and collector in the field of African-Americana, compiled an annotated checklist: A Commented Bibliography of One Hundred and One Influential Books By and About People of African Descent (1556-1982): A Collector's Choice. In a field notably devoid of "highspot checklists" which abound for other types of literature, it is an excellent starting point for reference and reflection on this subject.
